R Venkat Reddy, National Convener, M.V.Foundation

R. Venkat Reddy is a nationally respected child rights activist and the driving force behind the M. V. Foundation’s transformative work across India. With a deep commitment to ending child labour and ensuring every child’s right to education, he has led efforts that have mainstreamed more than one million children into formal schools.

Under his leadership, MVF has grown from a grassroots initiative in three villages of Telangana to a national movement covering more than 10,000 villages across multiple states. His pioneering Area-Based Approach to create Child Labour Free Zones has influenced both national policy and global campaigns, with impact extending to Europe,Africa and beyond.

Mr. Reddy is known for his ability to build community-led movements, work closely with governments, and mentor youth and grassroots leaders. He currently serves as an advisor to the Telangana State Education Commission and continues to advocate for a more inclusive and democratic education system in India.

Dr Mohd. Akbar Ali Khan

Dr Mohd. Akbar Ali Khan is an eminent scholar and made significant contributions in the field of education in the State of Telangana. He is a passionate advocate for equity and inclusion. A Ph.D. fellowship was awarded to him by ICSSR, New Delhi. He held several positions:

  • Rtd. Professor of Commerce, Department of Commerce, Osmania University, Hyderabad (2001 to 2015)
  • Former Vice-Chancellor, Telangana University, Nizamabad (Telangana State)- 2011 to 2014
  • Honorary Colonel, Ministry of Defense, Govt. of India, New Delhi ( 2013-2014)
  • Head, Department of Commerce, University College of Commerce & Business Management, Osmania University Campus, Hyderabad (2010 – 2011).
  • Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Osmania University, Hyderabad – 2014 to 2015.
  • Professor of Commerce & Jt. Director, Center for Distance Education: Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad ( 2016 to 2018)
  • Chairperson, NAAC Peer Team visits (2012 onwards)
  • Principal, University College of Commerce & Business Management, OU Campus.

  • Dr M Swamy Das

    Dr. M Swamy Das strongly believes that every individual has the potential and it is our responsibility to unleash that potential. He is a strong advocate of democracy and its values. He truly believes that each of us must find meaning in our work; the best work happens when you know that it’s not just work, but something that will improve people’s lives.

    He set up a Skill and Personality Development Center for SC/ST students under the AICTEAQIS SPDP scheme for an amount of Rs. 12.44 Lakhs. Also developed working models for WiFi and LMS.

    Active member in various professional and NGO bodies including CSI, IETE, ISTE, Swecha, IFD and colony associations.

    He is presently working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, CBIT, Hyderabad. Graduated with BE(CSE) from University College of Engineering in 1992, MTech(CSE) from JNTU Hyderabad 2000, PhD from JNTU Hyderabad in 2014. Also awarded CMI Level 5 (Royal Chapter) certification in Management and Leadership through UKIERI (UK-India Education and Research Initiative) in association with AICTE - Dudley University, 2021.

    He Joined CBIT in 1997 and held various positions including Head of the Department, Joint DirectorAcademics(Informatics), Chief Warden of Social Welfare Hostel, member in various statutory committees. Having 30 plus years of teaching experience, taught various Computer related courses and guided UG and PG students. Supervised 11 PhD scholars from Osmania University and Mewar University. Published more than 30 research papers in various reputed national/international journals, presented 15 papers in national/international conferences, 5 book chapters and a text book. Audited courses at CMU Pitts-berg, USA, and presented papers at Shanghai, China. Member of BOS at various institutes.
