  • Strategy & Approach:

  • Focusing on the improvement of basic standards in ‘Government Schools and Colleges’,.

  • Jangaon District is chosen to start with, as it is one of the historically dynamic place with enlightened people and also a central location between Hyderabad and Warangal, then the effort can be spread to all the districts of Telangana.

  • The JMI plays a leading role as a ‘catalyst’, working with the teaching community and concerned officials and making all-out efforts to involve parents, students, social activists, volunteer groups etc.

  • The JMI makes efforts in creating a friendly and positive environment in order to improve the basic standards in our education system in Telangana. In other words, it will not entertain exposing the deficiencies or criticizing anyone.

  • Our motto is: “How best we all together can improve our schools and colleges”.

  • A profile for each school is prepared and stored in our database repository.

  • A repository of databases of government schools and colleges with its periodical status on various issues is maintained for evaluating and showcasing our progress.
  • Action Plan:

    Phase I

    Infrastructure & Safety:

  • Clean toilets (gender-segregated), safe drinking water, electricity, fans/lights, functional classrooms with furniture, boards, and storage.

  • Repair buildings, walls, roofs; provide boundary walls, gates, ramps for Children with Special Needs, and fire safety measures.

    Academic Standards & Learning:

  • Timely availability of textbooks/notebooks and updated libraries.
  • Introduce digital learning tools and ensure value-based quality education.
  • Conduct baseline assessments, bridge/remedial classes, and regular academic audits.

    Equity, Inclusion & Community:

  • Support SC/ST, minority, rural students with scholarships and transport (e.g., bicycles for girls/EWS).
  • Strengthen SMCs and parent-teacher engagement; involve NGOs, CSR, alumni in mentoring and support.
    Health & Nutrition:

  • Strengthen Mid-Day Meals with monitoring.
  • Regular health check-ups, vaccinations, and hygiene promotion (handwashing, menstrual health awareness).

    Phase II:

    Teacher Quality:

  • Fill teacher vacancies and ensure regular training in modern pedagogy.
  • Encourage activity-based, experiential learning, peer learning, and model school exchanges.

    Digital Interventions:

  • Set up smart classrooms, internet connectivity, and leverage platforms (Diksha, T-SAT, Byju’s TV).
  • Implement student management systems for attendance and progress tracking.

    Phase III:

    Governance & Accountability:

  • Use School Information Management System (SIMS) for tracking.
  • Regular inspections, school grading, grievance redressal, and greater autonomy for school/college heads.

    Colleges & Higher Education:

  • Upgrade labs, libraries, classrooms; enable ICT/hybrid learning.
  • Offer career counseling, skill development, entrepreneurship training, and industry tie-ups for internships/lectures.
    Monitoring & Scaling:

  • Conduct baseline and annual surveys.
  • Develop district pilot projects, scale successful models, and ensure data-driven course correction.
